Course Details

UK health and safety law requires that all employees are given some health and safety training that is suitable for their role and the activities that they undertake in the workplace. The Level 2 Manual Handling Course is a good basic level course which is suitable for all employees. It introduces delegates to the hazards and risks involved in manual handling and outlines what to expect from a manual handling assessment. It enables delegates to look carefully at their own work activities and contribute to the development of safer methods and tasks, in co-operation with others. They will learn how to develop safer manual handling techniques in the workplace to lift, carry, push and pull objects safely within their individual capabilities.

On completion of the course delegates will be able to Identify and understand the risks associated with manual handling, understand the value of risk assessment and how to apply it, make recommendations to manage risks and apply the principles of safer handling to a range of everyday manual handling tasks.
